Nothing Quite Like An Unexpected Gift

Coming home from work today I got a wonderful surprise. My sister signed me up for gift subscription to Turntable Kitchen! I had never heard of them before so felt I needed to share it with everyone.

Turntable Kitchen is a subscription box service that is connecting food and music. They send you a local, fresh ingredient and then pair recipes and a vinyl record to compliment that month’s ingredient.

This month’s theme is Hot Summer Nights and the ingredient is Sweet Hungarian Paprika. The box included a large bag of the spice and 3 recipe cards. The recipes are Marinated Corn and Nectarine Salad, Brazilian Style Fish Stew and Blueberry-Cinnamon Ice Pops.

The vinyl record is Blood Cultures “Indian Summer” b/w “Meavy Hetal”. It also includes a digital mixtape that you download online.

I was blown away by this gift and I can’t wait to see what next month’s is.

I also have a box subscription for Loot Crate which is another awesome service that is geek themed. Definitely check that one out!

I am loving the fact that you’re back blogging! The stock photo post was brilliant and I’m so excited for a new source of found images. And this one is beyond genius! I’m totally getting a gift subscription for one of my best friends and her husband, who is a vinyl enthusiast and even has a turntable at his tattoo shop. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Thank you Sezin. I will have to let you know how the recipes turn out. It was so sweet of my sister to surpass me with that.
