The Traveler’s Notebook: My New Addiction

I may have found my new addiction.

It has all the red flags of a paycheck drain, gorgeous leather (oh how I love the smell of leather), amazing beautiful colored paper, little inserts that are nothing but blank canvases begging to be drawn and written upon, every kind of gizmo and gadget you could ever need to customize it for even the most advanced organizer (hem… hem… that would be me).

Ahhhh! The Midori Traveler’s Notebook

I opted for the limited edition blue Midori notebook and let me tell you the smell of that leather when you first open the package is enough to knock you out! Perfect for me because that is the one smell that I can’t stop sniffing. I think it reminds me of my youth and my love of bad boys in a leather biker jackets. Memories… The cover is a beautiful piece of thick leather that is supposed get more amazing once it starts showing signs of use and age. The inside is a series of insert notebooks that you completely customize.

Below is a great video showing all of the awesome things you can do with a Midori by TheResetGirl:

I have never used one of these notebooks before but have had my eye on one for a long time. I have seen the endless Pinterest pins and Instagram posts showing beautifully decorated and filled notebooks and I knew it was for me!

It has been a long time since I have really kept a physical planner. I have been using my iCal and Sunrise calendars on my phone and laptop, but I miss that feeling of really writing things down. I plan to use this notebook for keeping my blog’s editorial calendar, my walking and health logs, freelance design projects, as well as just writing and sketching. I love that you can buy a million different types of inserts and totally customize the planner to your needs and likes. Every notebook is completely individual.

As I said this is brand new for me so I will have to get back with you on how it works for me.
