My Personal Blogging Challenge

Cluttered Desk
I know I may not always show it but I love to blog.

I am horrible about setting time aside to do it… but I love it. It is a wonderful way to get my feeling and thoughts out and to de-stress myself. And believe me my life needs de-stressing!

I found myself inspired by a recent post from fellow Birmingham blogger  Javacia of The Writeous Babe Project and See Jane Write. She just got back from BlogHer ’14 and is completely fired up to be a write or die chick. Reading the post gave me a charge to be one as well.

They say that you can make a habit out of any positive change by forcing yourself do it for 30 days so I am going to put that to the test.

To get myself back into the writing zone I am giving myself a little challenge.

I am going to write a blog post everyday for the month of August. I know I can do it! This weekend will be  a little tough because of two weddings on opposite sides of the state but what are mobile devices for?? Plus I am dying to try out the WordPress app and see if it works.

With all things that I do, I spend a lot of time going over it and critiquing it and am already planning on giving my blog a new look. I will probably spend lots of precious blog writing time redesigning and developing my site this month, so please bear with me.

I am also working on finding the direction I would like to go with my posts. I don’t think I will ever have a set-in-stone theme for my blog but I don’t want it to be all over the place either. I think having a direction will make it easier to write and to store content for future posts.

Have you made a positive change into a habit lately? Did the 30 days work for you?
